SICHAM's Champa Language Preservation Program

SICHAM works with elders, cultural leaders, educators, and youth to build a sustainable, community‑driven language revival movement.

SICHAM works with elders, cultural leaders, educators, and youth to build a sustainable, community‑driven language revival movement.

Our program includes:

1. Community Language Classes

Weekly classes for children, youth, and adults taught by fluent speakers and cultural educators.

2. Elders as Cultural Teachers

Elders share pronunciation, stories, songs, and traditional expressions — preserving knowledge that cannot be found in books.

3. Champa Children's Books & Learning Materials

SICHAM is developing age‑appropriate materials including:

4. Digital Language Resources

Online lessons, videos, and recordings to support families in Vietnam and the diaspora.

5. Youth Language Ambassadors

Training young leaders to teach, promote, and celebrate the Champa language in their communities.
